Protected by various patents, Greasoline is dedicated to produce fuels and fuel components in the diesel, kerosene and gasoline boiling range. Along with the liquids, methane to butane hydrocarbon gases arise and can be used for Bio-LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) production or to upgrade biomethane to 100% bio-based SNG (Synthetic Natural Gas), for example.
No hydrogen addition is needed. Activated carbon acts as catalyst and can be re-activated after use.
Raw materials
The Greasoline® process can use a very flexible feedstock supply of various raw materials and residues. The technology also permits the processing of materials of lower quality and wastes, like the residues from processing used frying oils to biodiesel, or raw material fractions with higher water content which cannot be used in alternative technologies.
